Resurrection: Dead Spaces

This rather epic art event showcases and celebrates former Oakland galleries that have, for one reason or another, hung up their spackle and red dots and called it quits. Featured galleries include Boontling, Auto 3321, 33 Grand, Liminal, Magnolia, and Papa Buzz. Lobot has been subdivided into mini-galleries, and each space is individually curated by the participating galleries. Over 50 artists are represented here. Curators Derek Weisberg and Theo Auer worked with Obi Kaufmann to make a nice ‘zine, with gallery biographies, to accompany the show as well.

What happened to the photo of Papa Buzz’s “Post Mo Bills” the best paintings in the show?

Not sure why I didn’t get a pic of that giant. Maybe too many beers. I’ll git one at the closing.
