We attended a very cool pair of performances by Chris Kallmyer and Nathaniel Parsons at a private home in SF last night. The event was sponsored by Southern Exposure as part of their Southern Machine Exposure Project series. Chris Kallmyer paired artisan cheeses with sound performance and field recordings. Sounds a bit weird but really worked. Nathaniel Parsons channeled his performance persona HA HA LA and conjured ghosts with a high gospel reading of attendees names. Spooky and weird and totally ethereal. Nathaniel was accompanied by other musicians including the very talented Dan Nelson.
