Tami Demaree‘s sci-fi themed show at Steven Wolf Fine Arts titled “Project Rainbow,” is inspired by the fabled Philadelphia Experiment. It is alleged that the U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible (or “cloaked”) to enemy devices during WWII. Other rumors had American war ships instantly transporting from one location on the surface of the ocean to another, miles away, often resulting in the unfortunate fusing of sailors with the ships. Well executed concept. Show runs through July 7, 2012.
