Alika Cooper @ Eleanor Harwood

Alika Cooper has a nice show up at Eleanor Harwood Gallery in SF titled “Cherried.” This is a big departure for her as far as materials go but the simple figuration is still similar to her previous gouache and paper works.

“Piggyback”, “Balance” and “Tanline” are my faves, although “Cherried” is pretty nice too. Alika’s new direction is very exciting and her choice of fabrics is simply wonderful. Be sure to check out the other “Piggyback” at Mark Moore’s Ultrasonic VI show (yes, Alika’s showing there too right now). Great leopard print swimsuits. Fun!

I know this is completely unrelated to the post written but the picture on the homepage of your site is so sweet. Love, love, love.
