Lucien Shapiro @ Cassel Gallery

Lucien Shapiro has his epic new work on display now at the Cassel Gallery. He uses recycled materials to construct dystopian futuristic war masks and weapons. The masks feel tribal and mystical. I love these sculptures, especially the mace. So cool. Above is a little video of the sculptures as worn by humans. At least I think they are humans.

The show is extremely impressive viewed when there aren’t dozens if not hundreds of people in the gallery. Got to see the show closeup and personal at the gallery yesterday and it was fantastic. Lucien has stepped up to a whole new level.
