Carpe Diem Pics

1carpe

Some in progress pics here from the Carpe Diem event at Loakal in Oakland. I was super impressed with the work of the 20 artists, especially the ones who worked for almost the full 24 hours on their piece. Although I made some edits on mine periodically, I managed to work for about 13 hours with a dinner break. I’ll tell you, six hours at a stretch is my usual maximum. At a certain point I experience diminishing return on my effort due to fatigue. Needless to say I am super sore still from the hours of standing, squatting, ladder stepping, and arm moving. I will take some pics later this week of the finished works in the show along with artists names.

Two little pre-sketches for my piece.
